| About Melissa Born and raised in rural New Jersey, I grew up climbing trees, collecting rocks and playing with my stuffed Kermit the Frog. I always knew I was an artist and even received a special award for creativity when I graduated from Columbus Elementary school. After getting an associates degree in graphic design and working many years as an art director, I continued my studies at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia where I graduated as valedictorian in 1998. I now live in Austin, Texas and make frequent trips to Mexico with plans for a studio in Guanajuato or maybe Michoacan.....It is hard to choose, there are so many wonderful places to live and create art in Mexico. |
